This needs to have strong governance and communication within the project team and stake holders.
Lean Six Sigma in itself is a great change management methodology that facilitates the changes the organizations needs as well as the change initiatives of an organization. This way even the deployment of Six Sigma enables the organization for change initiatives.
For a successful Lean Six Sigma project a very critical component is to over the resistance of change. Without stakeholder and senior management acceptance, any process improvement is granted to fail.
Hence appropriate anticipation and understanding to various approaches to different resistance types is much needed for us to succeed.
Various types of resistance are:
- Do not want to accept the new process
- Underestimate the benefits of the Lean Six Sigma project
- Insecurity played by the stakeholders for various reasons
- Extend the project timelines and delay the project closure
As the team from Quality need to overcome all the resistance from the stakeholders. Senior Management play a very major role in Change Management and without the support of Senior Management, implementation of Six Sigma culture is extremely difficult.
